Today we will review the integration and web feature of PowerPoint named "Creating Web Pages Using PowerPoint". Your assignment in conjunction with this chapter is to complete the "Creating Web Pages Using PowerPoint" section in your text starting on page PPT 146 and ending on PPT 157. This assignment will be due in class next Monday, September 21, 2009.
I will also be talking with you about the topic of screen casting and how that is changing the way many presentations are approached. I am contemplating adding this as a component of your PowerPoint project in an attempt to add interest to the project and afford you the opportunity to gain hands on experience with screen casting.
For your second research project, I would like you to research screen casting. I would like you to look for tutorials and research on the subject as well as sites, services and software programs that are useful in producing screen casts. I would like you to find 3 articles that discuss how screen casts are being used today and/or provide tutorials on the subject. I would also like you to try 3 screen casting services and report back on the experience. Your research should be posted to your student weblogs with links to the articles and sites that you have found. This assignment will be due in class next Wednesday, September 23, 2009.
